Cribbage JD (also called Crib, Cribble, or Noddy) is a classic card game, usually for two players. The goal is to make card combinations that score points, and players use a cribbage board to keep score.

How To Play Cribbage JD ?

The Starter

The player to the dealer’s left cuts the deck.
The dealer flips the top card (the starter).
If it’s a Jack, the dealer scores 2 points (“His Heels” or “Nibs”).

Scoring in Play (Pegging)

During play, you score points like this:

15s: Any cards totaling 15 = 2 points

Runs:

3 cards in a row = 3 points
4 cards in a row = 4 points (and so on)

Pairs:

Pair = 2 points
Three of a kind = 6 points
Four of a kind = 12 points

Last Card: 1 or 2 points for the final card played

The Show (After Play)

Once all cards are played, players count points in their hands + the starter card:

15s: 2 points for each combo totaling 15
Runs: 3+ consecutive cards = points
Pairs: Same scoring as in play

Flush:

4 cards same suit = 4 points
5 cards (with starter) = 5 points
His Nob: 1 point for holding the Jack of the starter’s suit

Special Rule for the Crib

The crib can only score a 5-card flush (not 4-card).
